Not much going on these days, but I do have a few things in the works that hopefully I'll be posting soon. Just gotta find time between my assignments and the procrastination I've come to know so well.

Just thought I would check in and let everyone know that yes, I am still alive here. I've been really busy during the weekdays and then busy trying to catch up on all my other hobbies on the weekends, so the art has taken a backseat again. I've got a few ideas brewing, but obviously nothing to show for it...yet.

Until then, back to homework. *sigh*

*sigh* Summer break has ended and I'm back at school for yet another semester. So, the artwork will probably slow down for a while, at least until the next holiday comes around. Of course, there's always the weekends, so who knows what will happen? As long as I can wade through the quagmire of my courses and my job, I guess I'll be okay.

Well, summer break is finally here and as you can see, I'm updating again! I'm forcing myself to paint all those things I thought of during the year, but couldn't get to because I was too busy. Some of the results have been mediocre, but some have been pretty cool.

More importantly, I'm getting a real kick out of this, which is something I haven't had in a long time. Putting the "fun" in "dysfunctional" and all that I guess.

I have a pretty big backlog of ideas and inspiration, so there's plenty more to come!

Since it's been about a million years since I actually updated this thing, I thought I would add an entry just to let everyone know I'm not dead and stuff. In fact, I have officially transferred to my new school and settled in really well. I am soo much happier here than I was at my old college, that's for sure. Unfortunately to some I'm sure, I am no longer an art major. It may not seem like it, but this is a good thing. Studying art was kind of killing my creativity for whatever reason, which is why I haven't been able to make anything decent to post in the past few months. So I'm taking a break until the creative urge hits again, which I'm sure it will someday. For now, I don't really feel like taking up the brush or the pencil at all, but I think I just got really burned out and everything will right itself eventually. There are a lot of benefits to studying art and I learned a lot, but it's clearly not for me.

And I am very relieved to never have to scramble for art supplies or paint for a grade ever again.
