This image is actually a larger version of a doodle I did on some notes I took back in high school sometime. I was doodling random lines and decided to make it into this, which is why the fox is such an unusual shape. I've always liked it and decided to finally just paint it. It kind of morphed into a sequel to "Just Musing" along the way.
Despite all the details, this is the most fun I've had doing a painting in ages.
Made with acrylic, colored pencil, and lots and lots of concentration.
I keep wanting to call him Gaspard for some reason.
Kim, I think you successfully brought something from high school into your post-high school life. Someday I hope to do the same thing. Way to go, Gaspard!
I love the pattern in the background. It looks like it was painful to do, but it paid off nicely!
The funny thing is, it was a bit painful to do that background. I guess I haven't been drawing enough, because after I finished, my arm was sore. It's still a little sore. I think I'm the first person to pull a muscle with colored pencils.
